Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August worth $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to disclose all specifics during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates had indicated the firm planned to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, Paramount employed almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
